GRETA BRADMAN - SOPRANO
Greta Bradman is recitalist and
concert and stage performer. She completed her Bachelor of Music (performance
voice) at the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
In 2013-14 Greta was awarded the
Australian International Opera Award, a Fellow at the Australian National
Academy of Music and runner-up in the 2013 Barry Alexander International Vocal
Competition (New York City). In 2014 Greta commenced a Master of Advanced Vocal
Studies at the Wales International Academy of Voice which she completed with
Greta has been awarded critics
choice awards including an APRA/AMCOS ‘Performance of the Year’ award (2013)
and numerous OzCart awards. She has been nominated for Helpmann, MusicOz and
ARIA awards and was Limelight Magazine’s vocalist shortlisted as ‘Best
Newcomer’ in 2010. In 2015 Greta was
named Limelight “Artist of the Year”.
She has sung with many prestigious
orchestras, companies and ensembles. Recent performances include singing the
title role in Handel’s opera Rodelinda, regina de’Longobardi and the role of Eurydice in Haydn’s opera L’anima del filosofo with Maestro Richard Bonynge, the Australian/NZ tour of Broadway to La Scala and an international tour with Zubin Mehta and the Australian World Orchestra.
In 2015 Greta recorded My Hero her debut album with Decca Classics. My Hero has
gone on to become the highest ever charting Australian classical album on the
pop chart and debuted at number 1 on the classical chart.
This year Greta makes her debut in
the role of Mimi - La Bohème for
Opera Australia, debuts Lisa – La Sonnambula
for Victorian Opera and a national tour - Broadway to La Scala with Teddy Tahu
Rhodes, David Hobson and Lisa McCune.
